1990S ONE-CHILD POLICY CONCEPT

UNISEX READY-TO-WEAR

China's one-child policy was part of a birth planning program designed to control the size of its population. I am the second generation of this policy. I started this collection with the idea of expecting siblings. But as I went deep into the concept, I was evoked by amounts of adorable moments of being alone when I was a child. So instead of complaining about this policy, I believe this unique experience was a gift for me of creating the artworks.

I started the concept by collaging the shoots of Wong Kar-Wai's films, which have accompanied throughout my childhood. The color palette was also formed at this point.

Then I took the idea of expecting siblings, collaged and drew bodies hugging together and draped around with this idea.
